CONSULTATIVE MEETING FOR STRENGTHENING NATIONAL HEALTH RESEARCH SYSTEMS IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA, 17-18 October 2019


Jointly organized by EDCTP (The European and Developing countries in Sub-Saharan Africa partnership on Clinical Trials), WHO-AFRO and the Republic of Congo. A Consultative Meeting for the Development of a Regional Strategy to Strengthen National Health Research Systems (NSS) in sub-Saharan Africa was held in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo on 17-18 October 2019.
The purpose and objective of this meeting was to review the results of NSS surveys in 2018 and to propose strategies to address the gaps and challenges identified by the NSS in the 2018 reports.
The main expected outcome of the meeting is the development of a regional strategy to improve the results of the NSS barometer for Member States
